Welcome to No. 22

No. 22 is a two-bedroom traditional stone terraced house located on the hill above Matlock and with fantastic views towards Riber Castle and Matlock Bath.  The house has been home for our family for over 100 years, and most recently belonged to our Auntie Nellie and Uncle Bob, so now you know where the website name came from!

When Auntie Nellie died in 2010 we renovated the house ourselves over several years (and still have a few things to do).  It was lovely to find and restore many original features hidden behind the different eras of wallpaper, chipboard and bricks.  It’s definitely not fancy, designer or boutique, but it’s a cosy home in a lovely location on the edge of the Peak District National Park with plenty of amazing scenery, great walks, grand historic houses and friendly local pubs.   We are happy to share it with family and trusted friends.
