About the house
No. 22 is a traditional stone Victorian mid-terrace house set back from the main road and with views over Matlock. It has a small front porch, living room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.
The living room has a wood burner, television with Firestick and a selection of books, board games, jigsaws, maps and guidebooks. The sofa can be used as an additional double bed if needed.
The dining room has an original stone fireplace plus dining table with 4 chairs. There is a church pew if extra seating is needed.
The kitchen has an electric oven/grill and gas hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle and larder fridge (no ice box or freezer). There are enough pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils for up to 6 people.
There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom at the front of the house is a double bedroom with fantastic views towards Riber Castle, Matlock and the Heights of Abraham. The second bedroom has a small (4′) double bed and looks out over the back garden. A cot is available if needed (although you will need to assemble this yourself – instructions are provided!).
The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and the washing machine is also located in the bathroom.
There is a small flower bed at the front and the back yard has steps leading up to a small garden. Parking is available on the street outside the house or close by.
Wifi is provided. As we only let friends and family stay at No. 22, we trust that you will leave the house clean and tidy as you would wish to find it, ready for the next visitors.
